Massage for children

Just like their parents, children and teenagers are exposed to the pressure and agitation of everyday life, whether at school or at home. Many children are also exposed to higher levels of stress as a result of overexposure to screens, which are far from soothing.

When they are under stress, they can develop learning problems, sleep disorders, aggressive behaviour...
What are the benefits of massage for children?
Massage helps to reduce stress and anxiety, which will improve attention focus in class,
relieve muscular pain, boost self-confidence, support the immune system, improve sleep quality, etc.
After a massage session, the release of cortisol (the stress hormone) will be inhibited. This is why your child's mood will improve. And with children with ADHD, we have often observed
Improvements in behaviour and task solving.

How are the session organised?
After a discussion to identify your child's needs and the type of massage best suited to him/her (this can already be done when at the time of making your appointment), he/she will be comfortably positioned on the massage table.
I'll explain how the session will go before we start, in order to reassure your child and answer any questions they he or she may have (I'm a mother hen myself, and I want to make this moment as pleasant and relaxing as possible).
If you wish, or if your child wishes, you can stay close to him/her in the massage room.
The session will last between 40 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment required.

The main objective of the treatment is relaxation and not to replace medical advice.
